How Much Should You Be Paying for Pest Control?

Midwestern Pest Control is a family-owned business that has been operated since 1962. As such, we know a thing or two.

One thing we learned is that pest control is often a necessary service that keeps you and your home safe.

However, that doesn’t mean that you should have to pay an arm and a leg for it.

A good pest control service should come with a price point that matches the quality of service. So we’ll go through what expenses you could expect depending on the pest.

Note: the price is often dependent on the scope of the service. In other words, if you need one room covered or multiple.

Ants, Silverfish and Fleas

These are three of the cheapest pest problems to deal with.

Prices vary between $100- $500 for Ants, $100- $300 for Silverfish and finally, $140- $350 for Fleas.

The lowest price is a ballpark estimate of what you could expect from a small pest infestation. The highest price is the estimate of what it could cost to deal with a full-sized infestation throughout your home.

Bed Bugs

We’re giving bed bugs our middle spot because of the gap in price points.

Bed bugs can easily infest an entire home and even spread further. These pests are also difficult to exterminate because they can hide so easily and only come out to feed.

For those reasons, the price of a Bed Bug solution could range between $300 and $5,000.

If you suspect an infestation, you need to catch it early.

Termites and Wood-boring Beetles

Termites and Wood-boring Beetles can both cause extensive damage to a home. Part of the reason is how deeply they dig into a home. Because of that, extermination can cost you a large amount.

With that said, the damage that these pests could cause is often more expensive.

Termites could cost you anywhere from $2,000 to $8,000. Wood-boring Beetles could go from $1,500 to $5,000.

The Bottom Line

At the end of the day, the prices range widely. You can try to assess the cost or extent of your pest problem yourself. However, your best bet is to call for a professional to do the assessment.

If you want a pest control company that doesn’t drive up the price, we can do the job. At Midwestern Pest Control, we have the professionals to get extermination done without an unnecessary price point. Call today.
